About this deal

I usually carry the tt385 with me, it's smaller and lighter. But I don't use it to light the "scene", I mostly use it to open the shadows.

Pressing and holding the SLAVE button allows you to change the channel used to communicate with the slave units. Radio – Slave There's also the fact that the FL600R's AF assist doesn't work on older micro four-thirds bodies, indicating Olympus or Panasonic may have changed the hotshoe protocol midstream. And whether or not those changes were included in any documentation they have of the hotshoe "standard" that a 3rd party could use to develop from is in question. Even with the Canon Godox gear, the AF assist works great—unless you have a 5DMkIV. So it appears Canon silently changed the hotshoe protocol again. In other words, Godox may be trying to hit a moving target, with no information on where/how/when it moved. I tried to use a TT350-O off-camera with my XPro-C on a 5Dii, and had no TTL control over it; it would only fire a full power. There's also no remote zoom control (but then I didn't have that with the XPro-O on my GX7, either). I did have M power, group, and HSS control.concern. Portability. I shoot portraits, on location with lots of travelling, so size and portability is one of the main concern. When you first turn the flash on it is in TTL mode. It means that the flash is ready to fire and set its power automatically, based on the information sent by the camera. This only works if the flash model is compatible with your camera. If your flashes are marked for, let’s say Canon, and you have a Nikon camera, TTL will not work. Interesting. It's pretty clear the X1T is all around a better transmitter unit to use than the TT350.

https://www.sritch.com/fuji/fujifilm-xpro2-hss-ttl.html Look at the blinds on the right of the images to see the effect of the hss. The images include the important exif info. The list is basically the gear they had in-house to test with, not necessarily a complete compatibility list. Support for TTL autoflash, 1/8000s High-speed sync, Flash Exposure Compensation, multi flash, mamual flash, etc. My brand-new R2 has firmware version 2. Adorama informs me version 5 is available. I will take my R2 to Adorama for a firmware update and test, and will report the results here. The flash can be zoomed to the desired coverage, and it’s pretty simple to change. Press the Zoom button once and then turn the wheel. Turning it to the right zooms the flash in, decreasing coverage. Turning the wheel to the left zooms the flash out, increasing the coverage. If you turn the wheel all the way to the left you’ll see the AU option, which allows the flash to set the zoom automatically, based on the lens on the camera. This is one of those compatible camera-only functions. Off-CameraElfroggio, since you have both of them, how do you find 685 balances on the camera? Do you think it is reasonable? When I mount sb600 I find it reasonable, for comparison sake, but the weight and dimensions of 685 a a bit bigger on paper than for sb600. As I mentioned in the Godox TT685, there’s one important consideration when using radio frequency systems: they are, usually, not compatible with each other. If you have Godox flashes, they can only be triggered with a Godox Master, but not a Yongnuo or Nissin or Canon transmitter. Summary My recommendation is if you want it as an on-camera flash, don't hesitate. If you want it as an on-camera transmitter, consider getting an X1T-O or wait for the XPro-O. If you want it only as an off-camera slave, I'd recommend a TT600 instead, because it's cheaper and has more power and because Idon't have HSS issues with it. But. YMMV. Set both flashes to the same channel and group. This allows them to automatically match power when you make a change.

My TT350-O works perfectly on-camera with my GX7. TTL, HSS, 2nd curtain, S1/S2, etc. all work as expected. My only big complaint is that it only swivels 270º. working in a large urban hotel, I've found radio interference from nearby wifi, wireless mics, and God knows what else to seriously decrease the range and also make triggering very unreliable - like, only 20% success in a medium conference room. This is with Adorama's Zoom Mini (TT350) on-camera and a pair of Zoom Li-on R2s (V860II) on stands. On the theory that it would have greater radio power than the Zoom Mini, I got an R2 (X1). That had no problem triggering a pair of Zoom Li-ons 100' away in a large ballroom. It's a cute image - You seemed to find a good combo of ambient and flash - without it looking "flashed". Moving the flash off-camera doesn’t automatically make it look better. But you do get to position the shadows better, as you can see in my article on lighting. I also have a list of cheap modifiers that won’t break the bank. The 120cm Octa is a good investment. One lightWhile the flash does have a bounce card, I prefer using reverse bounce for on-camera situations to create a larger light source coming from behind me.

I don't, but I use one on a GX7, which also isn't on the compatibility list. In some ways it works terrific. In others... um... well... The SK II, DP II, QS iI, and QT II Godox plug-in strobes all have built-in receivers for the X-system. None of them do TTL, the QT II can do HSS. But all of them can have their power remotely controlled from an X transmitter unit. Off camera helps, then getting into using multiple lights, various modifiers and other natural light shaping tools and techniques. Here’s a portrait with this dual-light Octa box setup on the left (facing across the shot) and a white reflector on the right. To get really shallow depth of field with flash (especially outside), you need to use High-Speed Sync to overcome the limitation of the camera sync speed. To engage it, tap the Sync button once. The Godox TT350 is a flash unit that is compatible with Olympus cameras. It has a flash guide number of 36m and a color temperature of 5600K. The flash duration ranges from 1/350s for minimum power to 1/20000s for maximum power. It offers stroboscopic flash modes and has 3 group settings and 16 channels. Here’s a shot at 1/2000sec and f/1.4, ISO400 with HSS on. (You’ll find bumping the ISO helps save battery life, which is why I’m using ISO400 here). Two lights
