About this deal

Novitiates don’t just have Acts of Faith, they get some pretty good ploys as well. Acts of Faith mean that you won’t be spending your CPs on rerolls, and this gives you more CPs to spend on ploys that tend to do from decent to excellent. Strategic Ploys During that activation, a friendly NOVITIATE operative with the Staunch specialism performed a mission action. If you take out two enemy models with a weapon with the Inferno special rule, score 1VP. If the enemy leader is taken out with a weapon with the Inferno special rule, score 1VP. Familiarise yourself with how they work, maximise how many you generate by including the Pronatus and carefully selecting your equipment, and have your key combos ready.

The Novitiates version of the Dakka Boy these operatives are straightforward and deadly. Armed with the Ministorum Flamer, +1 damage on crits and Inferno 1 on top of a normal Flamer, these operatives would already be a strong choice. Their Burning Advance (1 AP) ability takes them to the next level by allowing them to perform a Dash followed by a Shoot Action. Additionally, they have a ploy that further increases their damage making them one of the deadliest operatives in the game, and a nightmare on Into the Dark maps. Novitiate Pronatus

Faction Overview

Along with this magnificent boxed set, you can also get dice sets for the two kill teams. Surely, the Chaos/Aeldari gods (delete as appropriate) will smile upon your rolls if you’re using the correct dice? The Corsairs dice have the symbol of the Eldritch Raiders on the ‘6’ ( Prince Yriel ’s buddies) while the Chaos Space Marines feature a Legionary helmet. Only one Act of Faith can only be used per activation on an operative, though Faithful Blessing does not obey this rule and can be used alongside another Act of Faith.

Blinding Aura– For two faith points when an enemy model shoots, select a friendly model more that two inches from them. That operative is treated as being in cover. This is good for trying to save the bacon of a model in the open. The Novitiate Penitent, when whipped into a frenzy from the Novitiate Exactor, has a larger charge distance. Once you enter the Engagement Range of the first enemy, you can still continue the charge, you just can’t leave it. Tag numerous enemy operatives, then cause havoc with the Reap special rule and Absolution Through Destruction action. Even if the Penitent goes down, they’ve earned their redemption and then some! Secure Vantage – A wildly swingy Tac Op as terrain placement can make it impossible. It is also worth noting that Novitiates don’t come with the ability to Fly or access any equipment such as Climbing Ropes that can make it easier for operatives to get on top of vantage points. If you have to use this Tac Op ensure you have your Pronatus on hand. D to C depending on vantage point presence Hallowed Ground sees the famous witch hunter duo Galen and Doralia ven Denst coming to terms with the culmination of the siege of Excelsis. When Galen disappears into the wilds of Ghur, his daughter sets off on his trail, but what secret is the veteran seeking?

You can use the Novitiate Reliquarius’ Plant the Icon action and the Condemnor’s Null Rod ability to make it difficult for enemy operatives to take control of contested objectives.

A 3+ save and eight wounds makes her a bit more survivable than standard novitiates, but don’t go running around out of cover. Intercession – Still the most popular team in the game, and one of the strongest. All the problems of fighting Phobos, but none of the weaknesses. Here you have to be very careful on how you engage your opponent, Assault Intercessors will kill any of your operatives with two regular hits in close combat, and regular Intercessors are likely to be sporting P1 with Lethal 5+ thanks to scopes, which will make short work of you. Keeping your Superior and Condemnor safe until they can do the most damage should be your primary concern, losing either of these units can leave you in a very dangerous situation. Your melee specialists will want to go after weakened targets as they’re incapable of going toe to toe with fresh enemy operatives. C The standard non-specialist. Novitiates are an example of a team where the number of specialists available is greater than the size of the team, and unlike Navy Breachers or Wyrmblade these non-specialists do not have GA2. This basically means you have zero incentive to ever take them. Novitiate SuperiorSanctified Rounds– Add 1 to the damage of all autopistols and autoguns for the entire turn. This turns them into bolter equivalents. Combined with Eyes of the Emperor it makes autopistols pretty spicy. Canoness • Sororitas Command Squad • Palatine • Sister Superior • Sister Hospitaller • Sister Dialogus • Sister Famulous • Imagifier • Reliquant at Arms • Dogmata • Hagiolater • Ministorum Priest ( Confessor • Missionary) • Ecclesiarchy Battle Conclave ( Crusader • Death Cult Assassin • Arco-Flagellant) Unique actions are actions detailed on an operative’s datacard that only they can perform, such as the Dakka Dash action found on the example datacard. Enemy operatives within ⬟ suffer 1 mortal wound each time they perform a Psychic Action. This falls into the niche category, and even then it is of questionable use against the few teams that have access to Psychic powers. D Keep a pool of Faith points. At the start of each Turning Point, if there are any friendly NOVITIATE operatives in the kill zone, you gain 3 Faith points. In addition, you gain one Faith point at the end of an activation, if any of the following apply:
