About this deal

The SilverStone Pi02 is a case for those that wish to use their Raspberry Pi 4 as a desktop computer or as a server. It provides great cooling and while it may not look fancy, it does have a robust, industrial look to it.

I ran into a few different issues when formatting different sets of disks. For example, when I was trying to format four HDDs the first time, I got: mdadm: super1.x cannot open /dev/sdd1: Device or resource busyIt is important to note that NAS servers are generally headless systems without a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. This poses some challenges for the installation, configuration, and tuning of hardware and software systems. In practice, as described in the next section, we run an SSH terminal connection to complete the basic project implementation process. System Implementation Connect X-C1 and Raspberry Pi 4B, insert a 7-pin connector right to the X-C1 GPIO port and a 3-pin connector to the X-C1 FAN port The last stage is to install and configure the Plex Media Server, and then start a network streaming service. Especially if you're running intensive tasks on your Raspberry Pi, you'll want to consider a case with active cooling. While the Raspberry Pi 4 yielded a massive hardware overhaul and improved performance, it also ushered in higher operating temperatures. Although subsequent firmware ultimately fixed this issue, a case with a cooling fan is a solid choice. For both the Raspberry Pi 3+ and Raspberry Pi 4, the Miuzei Raspberry Pi active cooling case is an excellent choice. Fully acrylic and with a built-in fan and heatsink, it's a phenomenal value that promises to keep your Raspberry Pi cool under load.Whereas most Raspberry Pi cases are comprised of plastic, the Flirc differs in its premium aluminum construction. The top and bottom are soft-coated plastic, with a metal middle outer section. Plus, there’s a built-in thermal pad, heat sink, and screws. GIPO connections, as well as USB, Ethernet, HDMI, and microSD, are all easily accessible from the case. The vanilla Flirc is great, but the Kodi edition is perfect for home theatre PC buffs. The Kodi edition includes rubber feet so that the Pi hovers under a TV or monitor. On the bottom, you’ll find ventilation slots to maintain a cool operating temperature. Additionally, GIPO pins are accessible through the bottom of the case. Best of all, the top is adorned with Kodi insignia. The log shows a question is asked about the Plex media server list (plexmediaserver.list), just choose the default N. When we see "Installation successful", we know that the installation was successful. At this point, the Plex streaming service is up and running. Invoking the Nmap scan again from the macOS side, we find that TCP port 32400 for Plex service is open. 1 Plug in the USB 3.0 connector to connect the X823 USB 3.0 port to the corresponding Raspberry Pi 4B USB 3.0 To offer you at least something, we have decided to open-source all the design files that we created so far. You will find them soon on GitHub under the following link: Another significant factor is the noise level of your box. Argon Eon is noisy! At full fan speed, the case sounds like a small jet. To the point where I genuinely consider swapping the fan out for something from the Noctua series. Until then, I’ll use the argon-config to run the fan as quiet as possible. Synology NAS can boost to audible levels but remains relatively silent in operation.
