About this deal

Place the board in the center of the table. Each player receives a set of 45 Colored Train Cars, a matching set of three Colored Train Stations and the corresponding Scoring Marker.

Each player may build a maximum of one Station per turn, and three Stations throughout the course of the game. Claiming the Ferry Route from Smyrna to Palermo requires four Train cards of any one color and two Locomotives. If a player attempts to go through a Tunnel using Locomotive cards exclusively, he will only have to play additional cards (which must be additional Locomotives in this case) if Locomotives show up among the three cards drawn for the Tunnel. Create the longest continuous route on the map and obtain the European Express Bonus card worth 10 points at the end of the game.play their collected railway car cards from their hand to claim a route on the board and place the corresponding number of train pieces from their store on the claimed route, thereby earning points. Finally, give the 10 point bonus for the European Express to the player(s) who have the Longest Continuous Path on the board. When evaluating and comparing path lengths, only take into account continuous lines of plastic trains of the same color. Claim a route by matching the correct color and amount of Train Cards in your hand to the correct color and amount of trains needed to complete a specific route. Remove these cards from your hand and place them in a separate face up discard pile near the game board. A player may claim any open route on the board. He is never required to connect to any of his previously played routes.

Volume 3: The Heart of Africa (2012). The Heart of Africa introduces Terrain cards, which give a bonus when claiming a route if you also have the terrain cards to match it. Volume 1: Asia - Team Asia and Legendary Asia (2011). Team Asia allows 6 player games, on teams of two, while Legendary Asia introduces Mountain Routes. If a Locomotive card is one of the five face-up cards, the player who draws it may only draw one card, instead of two. Alan R Moon took his original design and fine tuned it with new mechanisms and a more restrictive map covering the whole of Europe at the start of the 20 th Century. Build train lines from Lisboa all the way up to Petrograd or from Edinburgh down to Athena. The restrictive map does not make this a harder game as you can now use Ferries to cross the sea, Tunnels to go through mountains and Train Stations which allow you to use part of another players line.If at any time, three of the five face-up cards are Locomotives, all five cards are immediately discarded and five new ones are turned face-up to replace them. If they draw 2 additional red Train Cards, they will need to discard 2 additional red Train Cards from their hand. Players may also use wilds from their hand to complete this step. The player(s) with the longest continuous path of train cars on the map gains 10 points for having the longest route.

Locomotives are Multi-colored and act as a wild card that can be part of any set of cards when claiming a route. A player who wishes to claim a Ferry route must discard a set of the same colored Train Cards in the amount of gray spaces shown PLUS wild cards depending on how many locomotive spaces are shown. Stations are a very handy addition to the game as they extend your route into or out of the station along another players line (only one route). However, for every Station you don’t use by the end of the game bonus points are awarded so careful planning of when / if to use the Stations is required. Volume 7: Japan + Italy (2019). Japan features the Shinkansen, comes with physical bullet train pieces, and which are collaboratively built and accessible to anyone. Italy features a new ferry mechanic and republishes its Globetrotter by adding Provinces.

A player can build a Train Station on a city that currently does not have one built. If it’s the first time a player is building a station in this game, they must discard 1 Train Card of any color to build it. The second station requires 2 Train Cards of any color and so on. Stay at Home (2020). Released to mark the COVID-19 pandemic. [19] It's a free print at home expansion that allows players to control family members as they navigate domestic life and complete daily tasks. [19]
