It is within a couple of dB of the rated noise level but this is distractingly loud in a quiet room and I can't imagine trying to fall asleep with it on in a room (maybe with earplugs). The relaxed images in the advert are clearly fake! Then you move it a bit and there is a really annoying vibration of one of the side panels, and you have to move it again to change the weight balance and stop the vibration.
