About this deal

I was delighted to learn about Zaha Hadid and after finishing the book, I had to immediately look up the museum in Cincinnati that she designed. The Little People, Big Dreams books series portrays the inspiring lives of artists, designers, activists and scientists in a super-accessible way with sweet illustrations and by focusing on when they started out as children with a dream.

The groundbreaking monograph contains Hadid's own striking drawings and paintings, as well as hundreds of sketches, plans, and models. This delightful series (Little People, Big Dreams) introduces young readers to outstanding people, from designers and artists to scientists. She saw beauty and art in nature and in building and couldn't pass a construction site without stopping to sketch it. Meet three inspirational Earth Heroes whose love of the natural world inspires them to make a difference: Jane Goodall, Greta Thunberg, and David Attenborough! With her spectacular vision and belief in the power of architecture, she founded her own firm and designed some of the most outstanding buildings in the world—including the London 2012 Olympic Aquatic Centre.

Zaha Hadid's highly inventive and seemingly unbuildable designs have defied conventional ideas of architectural space and construction. With her most recent commission, Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center, architect Zaha Hadid becomes the first woman ever to design an American museum. Meet Billie Jean King, the tennis star who has dedicated her life to breaking barriers both on and off the tennis court.Remarkables REMARKABLES Intriguing, stunning, or otherwise remarkable books These include fine editions, foreign publications that are exceptional for their interest or production, special editions and some first-rate books from very small publishers. Prepared in collaboration with the architect's office, this comprehensive survey of over 200 projects - from the earliest experimentations to product design, from speculative follies to large-scale built works - is a testament to the depth, range and excitement of her vision.

You learn all about the talented architect but most importantly you understand the perseverance it took to achieve the success that she did! With abundant photographs, in-depth sketches, and Hadid’s own drawings, the volume traces the evolution of her career, spanning not only her most pioneering buildings but also the furniture and interior designs that were integrated into her unique, and distinctly 21st-century, universe. Also, the illustrations were wonderful really bringing to life the feeling of shape and movement that Zaha saw and placed in her designs.knygyną ir jau šiandien pradėkite skaityti žiniatinklyje, planšetiniame kompiuteryje, telefone arba el. He has been deeply engaged with the world of architecture for almost fifty years and has written numerous monographs on the work of late 20th-century architects. As an adult, she seems a bit like a mad scientist, totally obsessed by the world of architecture and the possibilities she found in trying new designs while never being afraid to be herself, even in the way she dressed. With an audacious and abstracted geometry of forms and lines, the BMW Central Building challenges the notion of building as static and is definitive evidence of architecture as art. OH THE CONVERSATIONS students might have as they compare and contrast the illustrations and how those illustrations support the big ideas in each book.
