About this deal

This anthology features an Ultramarines series tie-in by Graham McNeill featuring the Iron Warrior Honsou, a prequel story to the Salamander series by Nick Kyme, a tie-in to the Imperial Fists series by Chris Roberson and Deathwatch and Night Lords stories, setting the stars ablaze with the fury of the Space Marines. It features a prequel story to the Salamanders Series by Nick Kyme, a tie-in to the new Imperial Fists series by Chris Robertson, and new Deathwatch and Night Lords stories, and more. Honour Amongst Fiends by Dylan Owen never got going; and Fires Of War by Nick Kyme was as utterly boring as anything else he's done. Ten stories, with 5 of them being focused on Chaos Space Marines hardly makes for a "heroes" collection, but aside from that, the book was good. Headhunted' by Steve Parker - A Deathwatch kill team boards an Ork spaceship on a mission to assassinate the warboss.

Ein Geschichte über eine abtrünnig gewordene Kompanie, ein bisschen Nigthlords sowie Sons of Malice (selten). Each of these warriors are draped in decorations and honours befitting their elite status, and can be built with bare heads or helmets. Not too much to say, just some very fun action involving some rather brutal Black Templars and their friends in the Sisters. The Skull Harvest' by Graham McNeill - Chaos warbands, including the Iron Warriors who show up in other books, fighting in some sort of competition. These specialists provide vital support as honour guards and aides – Company Champions defend their Chapter's honour with martial excellence, Ancients guard its inspirational banners, and Company Veterans lay down hails of fire from relic bolt weapons. I do like that the main character is one of the potential recruits and the conflict within the Night Lords force is also nicely done.

The characters are good, especially Chaplin Argo who is a nice departure from the usual fire and brimstone Chaplains that you usually get.Pretty decent quality writing for the most part, some stories are unfortunately underwhelming, but there's three stories are worth mentioning. This is a nice story that introduces the renegade Chaos God Malice (who veteran gamers may recognise as Malal). But this is a really good intro to many of the series the Black Library has going, so it's worth reading just for that - assuming you have any interest in the 40K universe, and if you don't why are you reading this anyway?
