Danny's Dream - great story, fab illustrations, and I'm totally awe-inspired that it is possible to paint such detailed picture book illustrations while holding a brush in your mouth - astounding! You should always go for what you want to go for, so that you don't sit there and think 'I wish I had done that or tried this'--even if it doesn't work out at least you would have tried it. Taking fresh flowers and herbs really enhanced the environment too as they all enjoyed touching and smelling the different scents. The book itself is really good quality with large colourfully printed pages, I really like that at the start of the book there is a photo of Ian Parker painting with his mouth, alongside the author Victor Margiotta.

Written and illustrated by Vanessa and Charlotte when they were twelve years old, Danny's Dream captures the wonders and spirit of being a child. Unlike a picture hanging on the wall or holding a single card in your hands, you're interacting with the book and getting involved in it as you follow the words and images of the story.We all really enjoyed sharing this book together, the kids loved the characters and the illustrations and we all really loved the ending. Written by Pat, the girls' voices are threaded throughout each chapter of In the Morning Light, using their own words taken from a documentary, a news program and their journals allowing them to tell their unique story of living and loving. Been wondering about Danny’s progress on taking over the dream world, but I had one a while ago where I was Danny and was having a collab with a friend.Imagine being a child living in your own magical kingdom, with mystical streams, enchanted forests, and your own little castle, shared with your best friend.
