About this deal

I'm English so listening to these voice actors is particularly painful for me, I cannot deal with the terrible voice actors so I can't even finish it, they sound like cockneys in their early 60s and that's being nice, I feel like the voice actors watched Oliver twist for reference of an English accent and were like "yeah, I could do that" no one speaks like this in the UK unless you're a born and bred cockney and even then to sound remotely like this you would have had to have been alive during WW1. This book tries its hardest to convince the reader that in some way Roxy CHOSE to stay with the Vipers. There are subplots that take place in the story that involve other gangs in the city but the main plot is completely centered around the 4 men and Roxy. The pain was agonising and my mum had to dig the stinger out of my inflamed, irritated eyelid while I cried. i hate this book with every fiber of my being and even though i didn’t finish it i am still going to count it towards my reading challenge because i had to suffer over 200 pages of this dumpster fire.

The Vipers have no idea what they want to do with Roxy at first, but one of them, Diesel, the unhinged one who carries a fanny pack with explosives and other things, finds her fascinating. All I can say is that if you like dark reverse harem romance with possessive men and a strong female who isn’t afraid to put them in their place, then you need to read this book! my suggestion is audible or whoever it produces these audiobooks need to re record this book and do it justice because with better voice actors this book could be so good. I thought the book was set in America due to the dive bar and the way the book was written (not that it ever states where the book is set) so the accents really throw it off. From the get-go the chapters were styled so well, I knew exactly who was who and the descriptions of these Vipers are wooww!I know some people have this kink, and I while I'm disparaging the book, I want to make it known that I couldn't care less what people do in their personal lives, so long as it is consensual and doesn't hurt someone. Cada um tem seu problema, cada um é quebrado da sua maneira mas no final tudo mundo se completa de um modo que nem eles mesmos conseguem explicar. This may or may not be a complete list of triggers for this book, I do my best to make sure I mark anything that could be a potential trigger but I may accidentally miss triggers. Like a tidal wave, I was pulled under by this authors spell as this book literally got its hooks into me from just that first page. Kenzo controls the gaming halls and all gambling across the city he's Ryder's blood brother and the younger of the two.

His one-true love tortured him, or he thought she was until she marked him up and left him for dead. One minute, she wants to escape and get her life back, and the next, she is madly in love with her kidnappers? Like one time she went with Ryker to a meeting with the board of Viper Corporation and she walks, sits down and puts her feet up on the table.Cringe AF and I regret every minute of it I wish I could go back three days to when I didn't know this book existed. There was only one or two scenes where more than one of the were intimate with Roxy at the same time.

But yeah, not sure if this is just an actually shit book, or if I just stumbled too far down the rabbit hole. Not to mention, I liked how she acknowledged her faults but did not let them define or persuade her in any way.

Diesel got Roxy right from the onset his eccentric madness almost stripping away at the usual artifice. I take more time with my makeup, applying my signature red lipstick, dark liner, and eyeshadow, making my brown eyes pop. Ryder assumes the weight of being the leader of the Vipers, he blames himself when things happens, and he tries to shelter his brothers even when they want to help him.

Halfway through the book, which is as far as I could force myself to get, it is essentially 95% ridiculous sex scenes, and 5% pointless "story. Between the female character and male characters, you will find yourself wanting to binge-read at times, laugh, cry, and cheer for the female character at times too. I was looking through reviews and it had me scratching my head at the comments some people were leaving. We're told over and over how bad-ass the mafia dudes are and how special the heroine is because she's not like other girls and wears biker girl clothes, and it took me right back to the heydeys of Quizilla in the early 2000s with all of those "pick me" goth girl heroines. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. The leader is suit wearing Ryder, he's the face and brains of their empire, he's calculating, and everything he does, he does it for his family, he's as dark and as cold as they come, a lethal business owner. This is Dark Reverse-harem but it's the situations and actions of the characters involved that add the darkness to this one.
