About this deal

Frequency and duration of baths are dependent on the severity of your skin condition. In general, adults should use the bath oil for at least three times a week, or as directed by your doctor. Daily bathing is recommended for children and babies. Shake well the bottle of Balneum Plus Bath Oil before using it. Add several drops of the bath oil to warm or lukewarm water as the bath is running. Use the recommended measurements as provided for in the information leaflet. Mix well. Always clean the bath immediately after you have used Balneum. To do this rinse thoroughly with hot water and then clear with a household cleaner. Balneum Plus can also be used in the shower. In this case the liquid should be evenly applied over the body without dilution and then rinsed off under the shower. If only a small area of skin is affected, you may be able to bathe the affected area in a bowl or sink.

Do not use soap with the bath oil. The soap will remove the protective emollient layer of the skin. Avoid getting Balneum in your eyes, however, if this should occur, rinse immediately with clean water. Pour the appropriate amount of Balneum liquid into the bath as the bath is filling, be careful the water is not too hot.

Emollients

Pour the appropriate amount of Balneum Plus liquid into the bath as the bath is filling (please see below for correct measurements), be careful the water is not too hot. The perfume contains benzylbenoate which may be mildly irritant to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. For a full adult bath – add around 20 ml of bath oil to around 100 litres of bath water. Soak in the bath water for 10 to 20 minutes, but not longer. Undiluted Balneum should not be swallowed. If this happens talk to your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Adults and children should bathe with Balneum at least 2 to 3 times a week or as often as required. Your doctor will advise you how often you should use Balneum depending on how severe your skin condition is. For babies and infants a daily bath is recommended.

AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream, a light, paraffin-free emollient which has all the benefits of colloidal oat including protecting and restoring the skin barrier, soothing the itch, irritation and redness associated with dry skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, as well as having humectant properties and maintaining the skin’s normal pH. As well as being a moisturiser it can also be used as an effective soap substitute, to prevent the skin from drying out further. Always clean the bath immediately after you have used Balneum. To do this, rinse the bath and equipment thoroughly with hot water and then clean with a household cleaner. If you will use the bath oil in the shower, apply the bath oil evenly over the body without adding any water. The excess oil will be removed under the shower but make sure to not remove all the oils from the skin. The ingredients of Balneum Plus Bath Oil, particularly soya oil and peanuts, may cause allergic reaction on some individuals. Other ingredients such as benzylbenzoate may cause some irritation to the skin, eyes, and mucous membranes.
